Farm Philosophy

 Mission Statement:  It is our goal to continuously improve the overall quality of the waterfowl we raise for ourselves and offer to others.  We will accomplish this thru our continued selective breeding program that is based on the American Poultry Associations Standards of Perfection.

We have narrowed our focus over the past year by scaling back on some of our larger ducks. I have added a few breeder birds to my flock, but have stopped purchasing animals to build my breeding program.  I’m sure I will continue to add birds here and there, but I’m pleased with what my breeders have started to produce.

Phelps Waterfowl currently has the following breeds/varieties of ducks:  Gray Call, White Call, Snowy Call, Chocolate Call, Blue Call, Black Call, Butterscotch Call, Black East Indie, Snowy Mallard, Chocolate Runner,  and Exhibition Pekin.

We are proud members of the Ohio Poultry Breeders Association, National Call Breeders of America, and The American Poultry Association.
