Sales Policy

 

Fertile Eggs

 

     Please make sure you have read the section on Our Fertile Eggs.  Fertile eggs are booked on a first come basis.  I accept PayPal or Money Orders.  I will take personal checks and e-checks.  Please allow 10 days for them to clear.  This may back your order up by 2 weeks or more.   Contact me via email prior to sending any kind of egg order/money.  When paying by any method please include your name, address, email address, and exact order.  I correspond with a lot of people, so do not assume I can remember everything.  I will not be selling as many eggs this year since I have purchased a bigger incubator.  I will start taking orders in Jan. for the spring of 2006. 

 

Reminders for fertile eggs

 

  1. I don’t ship eggs unless they are 90% or above fertility in my incubator.  I also test eggs from every batch I ship out.  Fertility can change from time to time.  I will contact you if I have a problem with your batch.
  2. The first eggs usually ship late March to mid April.
  3. I ship on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.  I will email you on the day I ship.  Tracking is done on all packages.
  4. I cannot guarantee an exact date of arrival for the eggs.  I will do my best to meet your needs.  Please remember that these are animals and a lot of factors effect egg production.
  5. The shipping charge for most orders is $10.  Shipping is via Priority Mail.
  6. I pack the eggs carefully, and extras are sent.
  7. Please don’t try to incubate call eggs in a still air incubator.   Get a fan kit installed.  You can try Double R Supply . 
  8. If you have incubation questions, I do have information on the site.  Storey’s Guide to Raising Ducks is also a great resource, and I will also try to assist you. 
  9. Call egg orders will only be taken until mid May.  
  10. Minimum order is 6 eggs.
  11. There is absolutely no guarantee on fertile eggs after they leave my hands.  I have no control over the incubation conditions, or our postal employees.

 

Ducklings and Adult Ducks

 

     As stated above all birds are on a first come basis.  Unless the USPS improves it’s shipping for birds, everything will need to be picked up or delivered to the Buckeye Classic Show in Canfield Ohio in June or The Ohio National in Columbus, OH in November.   All birds will need to be paid for in full prior to delivery.  Contact me for pricing.

 

Quality of Ducklings

 

     I do sell ducklings from most of my breeding pens.  Calls are included.   These ducklings will be well started.  The majority of ducklings sold will be pet to low end breeder quality.  They will make great pets and pond ducks and are priced accordingly.

 

Young Birds and Adult Breeders

 

     I have a lot of people contact me to buy show quality birds.   Everyone’s idea of what a show quality bird is seems to be different.  I don’t sell my best birds.  I don’t think many breeders out there will do that.  There are also 4 of us here that show.  I will sell you a nice breeding pair that is capable of producing quality stock. 

     My kids show a lot of my breeder quality birds and do quite well with them at the 4-H and Jr levels.  My daughter won at our county fair with a breeder Pekin pullet this year.
