Gray Call
This was my first year using a father/daughter mating pen.  Wow, did I get a pleasant surprise. And I know from emails that some of my egg customers got some really nice birds. This seems to be a pen that produces some awesome hens. My birds got shorter, rounder, and improved their head and bill shape. I plan to use this same pen again next year to add females with type to my line. I will put the hens I hatched this year in with their uncle. I may switch males mid
season, but it should be interesting to see what I get.
I will have some of my original hens for sale in June. I will also have a son or grandson to go with them. This will be a nice quad to start a new line or continue with mine.
