Snowy Mallard
-
These birds now belong
to me, since my oldest son has lost interest. I plan to continue to work
with them. There aren’t may breeders that have them. I’ve had to outcross
them to gray mallards this past year. I can’t find any decent new blood to
put into my line.
-
I recommend these
birds to people that like the looks of the snowy call, but don’t want the
complications that can come with calls. These birds are a lot hardier and
have great hatchability.
-
They make great broodies. I had several unexpected mallard gifts this past year. I let
them have the run of my barn, since they can be feather pickers.
